One of the most important things that you can do for yourself is to do nothing. Deep Relaxation (Yoga Nidra) is an often overlooked but important yoga practice.  Among its many benefits Deep Relaxation can quiet the mind, decrease stress, balance the nervous system, build the immune system, and give us a space in which to be still and grounded in this busy world.   As part of a yoga practice Deep Relaxation is the next step toward detaching from the monkeymind and becoming a witness rather than a participant to its antics.  Even as a stand alone practice it can be a great maintenance tool to help balance a busy life or assist healing after physical or emotional trauma.
