During times of transition it is easy to become distracted away from our own innate wisdom and truth and become driven by doubts and fears. Pregnancy brings with it so many changes- physical, emotional, social, financial. Reconnect with your voice and your body. Trust yourself to know what you need. Remember and discover yourself. Take time to bond with your baby.
Not only will our asana practice address the needs and discomforts of the pregnant body but it aims to strengthen and prepare the body for labor and birth. We will focus on various poses and breathing techniques to increase flexibility, strength, focus, awareness, and groundedness. We will take time in Deep Relaxation and Meditation for much needed nurture and bonding for both mother and baby. And we will learn and practice simple techniques that can clear out fear, diminish pain, and harness the powerful primal energies of the labor journey.
Prenatal classes bring together mothers with differing levels of experience and experiences offering a great way to connect with other mothers to be. A safe and supportive community allows you to freely discuss any issues-- from discomforts and concerns to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing.
For women who have entered their second trimester of pregnancy. No previous yoga experience needed.
