Where every class is connected to charity!
One of the aims of yoga practice is to find peace in the midst of chaos. Often our minds become so busy that we take leave of our pure awareness, can no longer hear our guiding voice, and feel overwhelmed. It is easy to become attached to the busy-ness of our lives, what we “should do”, what we “need to do”, what we “don’t have”, and what is “wrong with us”. We can even become attached to stress! These attachments bring with them feelings of anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, and depression.
In this class, we will approach our practice with a seriously light heart. We will practice Asanas (poses), Deep Relaxation, Breathing, Meditation, Gratitude Awareness and other simple tools to bring the body, mind, and spirit back into balance. Many people leave class feeling peaceful, grounded and rejuvenated. Often these feelings follow them throughout the day. Then intention of this class is take these practices home with you and eventually incorporate then into your daily routine so that you can find peace on or off the mat.
All ages, body shapes, and experience levels welcome. Class is adapted to the needs of the participants. Yoga is for everyone!
