We will then open our doors for the Buddha's Delight vegetarian feast, cooked with Love and Intention by the teachers - for all who visit! Each dish of food will have the cook's name and description of the food on a card. Food carries a vibrational frequency and spiritual information about those who prepare it for all who taste it... take this information into your body and see how it resonates for you - maybe you will find your teacher,
or get to know your teacher better, just by tasting the food they prepared! Also this evening, we
are grateful to have Amie Maciszewski of Sangeet Millenium playing the sitar.
Then, please join us in welcoming Ustad Nizami !
It is our honor and delight to host a 17th generation Sufi musician and Fulbright scholar from Pakistan, considered a master of the sitar, voice, tabla, and harmonium. Ustad Nizami will offer authentic musical renderings of Rumi in original Persian, alongside his own charming translations.
If you love Rumi, if you love ancient sacred music,
this is a special treat not to be missed !!!

More information on Master Nizami
(We expect a full house, and the parking lot will be busy with SXSW events, so please do give yourself time to find parking in the Treadwell/Dexter neighborhood. There will be floor seating on folded studio blankets, and limited chair seats, you are welcome to bring a cushion or folding chair).
PAST EVENT
Silent Meditation
Friday Feb 12th, 7:30pm
Yoga is a still and quiet consciousness. The traditional yogic intention behind the practice of postures is to strengthen the field of the body and mind for meditation: to sit still with a meditative mind. Come join us for a 40 minute silent group meditation where will sit and bring the mind to the breath, deepening our relationship with all of life
We will start promptly and lock the entrance at 7:35 so please arrive prior to starting time (with ample time to find parking in the neighborhood and get settled in the studio). Bring your cushion or borrow a studio blanket. You are welcome to bring a friend, and cookies and snacks for afterwards.
